Below is a collection of things I've worked on and areas of interest.
Generalist robotics
- Established Australia's first open-community robotics × AI lab.
- Fine-tuned Physical Intelligence's π0.5 vision-language-action model on 177 bimanual teleop demonstrations to stack two Jenga blocks.
- Ran a real-time leader–follower 30 Hz control loop for teleoperation between Perth, Western Australia and Ballina, East Coast of Australia, over Tailscale with ~110ms latency.
Cultured meat and biotechnology @ Vow
- Projects I led:
- Build out of the world's largest operational cultured meat facility (37kL capacity) to achieve <$100/kg COGS (lowest price point achieved globally).
- Installation and assembly of 15,000L custom stirred tank bioreactor.
- Regulatory approval by Singapore Food Authority for cultured quail (3rd company to ever achieve this).
- Regulatory approval on home soil by Food Standards Australia & New Zealand (1st and only company to achieve this).
- Other work I'm proud of:
- Presented novel regulatory approach at United Nations FAO in Shanghai, China.
- Hired, built and led my own BizOps team.
- Assisted in the hiring as the team grew from 40 to 110 FTE.
Literature & the Western canon
- 1st place in English Literature coursework at the University of Sydney.
- Devout consumer of the Beat Generation (“On the Road”, “Howl”).
- Highest marks in cohort for my capstone essay in ENGL3655 The Literary in Theory under Dr Bruce Gardiner.
Wilderness & exploration
- I lived out of the back of my car and had no permanent residence for 376 days.
- Big wave surfing & trail running.
